Doster Angels will have lunch TBD
Dear Doster Community Church Family,
I am so glad to be announcing that we will be celebrating “Drive In – Outdoor
Church” for the next few weeks. Starting May 31 through June 14 at least (maybe
longer) we will be celebrating church in our parking lot.
Please bring lawn chairs so you can sit in those if the weather is decent. If the
weather is questionable feel free to stay in your car.
We will set up a canopy just outside the car port by the front door of the church facing the parking lot and Pastor Rick will have his PA set up so you can hear.
There will be a pile of hymnbooks underneath the car port, please grab one and keep it in your car until we stop our outdoor services.
There will also be available copies of the music and words in a pile under the car port,
so you can grab one if you need something beside the one hymnal.
Please bring a protective mask to wear if you need to use the restroom. There will be someone to make sure there are not too many people in the church at one time.
Every week, door handles and bathrooms will be cleaned and disinfected. We will not be policing interaction between people in the parking lot. But please be sensitive to the comfort of other people as far as social distancing and such.
We will continue to live stream the worship service and post it so that at any time
you may watch from home.
Please stay home if you have a temperature over 100 degrees.
Please stay home if you have had any contact with someone who has a confirmed case of coronavirus.
Please stay home if you are experiencing shortness of breath, have a cough, sore throat, runny nose or runny eyes and you are not sure it is allergies.
Please also stay home if you have a compromised immune system or at risk.
We will have a bucket to drop offering in by the entrances/exits. We will not
have a greeting time, or an offering time. You will have an opportunity to share prayer
requests. If you are having a difficult time seeing Pastor Rick feel free to sign in to
Facebook – Doster Community Church to watch on your phone or tablet or computer
screen. WiFi password is “JesusLoveMe”. You will be able to watch the recorded
worship service on Facebook and/or the church website “dosterrc.com” at any time.
Pastor Rick will continue to try to do devotions daily on Facebook live and please let
him know if you would like a phone call during the week.
This is a way to safely open our church to fellowship. We need one another to
encourage one another and spur each other on to good deeds. In the book of Hebrews
we are told, “Do not give up meeting together,” because it is necessary. Christianity was
designed and meant to be experienced in community. I look forward to at the very least
waving to you from a short distance as you drive in to the parking lot, during the
worship service, or on your way out. Feel free to call or text Pastor Rick at 616-901-
8299 if you have any questions, prayer requests, or other needs. Wind and rain or snow
will cancel the drive-in worship. Thank you and God Bless!
