Pastor:  Rev. Rick Christy

I was born and raised in West Bend, Wisconsin.  I have been married for 26 years to my wife Amy.  We have three children:  Amanda, married to Joe Roper with three children – Pearce, Reid, and Gabby, living in Grandville; Courtney, married to Curtis White with their daughters Eliana and Mykah, living in Allendale; and Coleton, currently living in Rockford with his son Elias.  Our dog’s names are Liam a black-mouthed Cur, and Buffin, a Maltese/Poodle mix.  Our dogs are considered part of the family.

I graduated from high school in West Bend, WI.  Then I went to the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Geology in 1985.  I worked for a few years as a carpenter’s assistant while also playing in a band on weekends, and worked with Campus Crusade for Christ.  In 1992 I graduated from Western Theological Seminary and I have been serving as a Pastor in the RCA for over 30 years.  I am a true “cheesehead” and a lifelong Packer fan.  I played three years of college football and coached Rocket Football for 5 seasons.  I am an Eagle Scout.  I have been playing guitar and saxophone since the early 70’s and currently play in a band called “Dry Bones Walking” that plays old-time and classic rock songs with the lyrics changed to reflect Biblical themes.  I love bow and gun hunting whitetails.  I enjoy volleyball, bowling, softball, walking, singing, reading, and studying the Bible.  I also like to watch dirt track racing especially sprint cars.  I am involved in jail and prison ministries as well.

I hope that you will join our family at Doster Church as we seek to grow closer to being the kind of people God calls us to be each and every day.
